Asset Dev: Scene 4

This scene will be parallaxed to have its mountains and clouds moving. The bird will also become the cursor for this scene. The intent of this environment is to show the darker, barbaric nature of the Dothraki people. I still need to add text and create a transitioning scene for this chapter.

Asset Dev: Scene 2

I’ve started illustrating my second scene and I think I’ve almost finished it. Not too sure what more I should do to it but yeaahhh, here it is;

Asset Dev: Scene/Chapter 1 & 2

I worked a little more on the detailing of scene 1. By this I mean I took away some plants and added a grain texture to the clouds as well as too some more plants. I’ve also decided to use this scene twice. Firstly as the opening chapter and secondly using a plug-in/ afx to…

Asset Dev: Finalising Scene 1

Finishing off scene 1 I’m pretty happy with my progess at the moment, however I may still add the Dothraki people or a Dothraki symbol into this scene. I also plan and still need to animate the clouds and the stars blinking. I plan to use parallax to introduce the environment as it appears on…

Asset Development: Scene 1

Re-starting and re-working my design for my introduction chapter 1. One can see my progression in working with and re-working my design for my first scene. I started to seriously dislike my initial scene, hence me crafting and styling it differently with various gradients, grains and introducing some more aesthetically pleasing plants into the design….

Wireframing & Re-Wireframing

I’ve started designing my assets and consequently thought they were kak. Soooo, I hopped on my chair, opened the book of wonders, ie. my pretty little multi book and began re-scamping. Also I got super inspired by Rafael Varona and fell hopelessly in love with her work. Re-Wire-framing: Old Wireframes (ew):

Design: AI Intro Page

So, I’ve started with asset development with regards to my introduction screen to my site. I’ve constructed the page with each asset on its own layer, thus, being able to use parallax and motion. I also want to work with masking layers and start experimenting more. With masking, I want one illustration to take direct…

Illustration: Style Development #1

I’ve begun to start considering what type of illustration style I’d like my final execution to look like. I decided to go with a more abstract view on Dothraki culture, with a focus on their earthly roots and connection with the earth. Hence me making use of their constant migration and eventual arrival at their…

Concept Development 2

The contrasting nature of the Dothraki – horse riding warriors/ “primal & barbaric” people of the earth/ contrasted by their god, the stallion – herbivor passive animal, transport, no weapons/ bloodshed in their cities Illustrations: taken influence from “primitive” culture ie. Native American, The Huns, Maori People I may take an abstract approach with regards…
